Dear Galilee and Friends,
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised!
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV) Optimism is the determination to see more in something than there is. When looking through the lens of optimism and faith, Galilee Missionary Baptist Church has an "Illustrious Past and a Bright Future". The church is God's best hope for this world in which we live and it serves as the pillar of strength for future growth and success in our community. To that end, God is calling us to walk by faith and not by sight as we endeavor to model a lifestyle of generosity and commitment to those who are searching for hope and in need of transformation. Make no mistake about it, God has spoken, the vision is clear and Galilee Missionary Baptist Church has been called to develop a campus that will meet the spiritual, physical, social, recreational, and economic needs of God's people. However, to accomplish the vision, and develop a holistic ministry campus, every member and friend will be given an opportunity to support and serve as a champion of the vision through our "Meet Me At Galilee: A Journey of Faith" stewardship campaign. Through direct involvement, we must use our collective resources - time, talent, and treasure as a means of taking care of God's world, the environment, the people, and our community. We may not possess the same abilities. We may not have the same amount of money, but we all have the same amount of time every day. Join me in this "Journey of Faith" from Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive to Northampton Drive as we seek to Exalt, Educate, Empower, Encourage and help all to Enjoy the blessings that our God has bestowed upon us.
My earnest prayer is that God will continue to bless our church spiritually, physically, financially, and numerically, as God has done since 1954. Galilee is a great church destined to do greater works for the Kingdom of Almighty God. For we must never forget that all of the privileges we enjoy are rooted in the dreams, faith, hope, sacrificial commitment and love of those who paved the way for the success of this anointed ministry. We are, after all, the beneficiaries of much prayer, sacrifice and supplication.
Over the next three years, I challenge the Galilee family and friends to seek God and strive to complete the vision that He has for our church and the community we serve. The word of God says, "Prove me now herewith, said the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:10). I strongly encourage you to search your heart and hear from God on your commitment. In this "Journey of Faith", partner with me and my family as we declare our financial support and confidence in the vision that will help to change a generation for the Kingdom.
Please do not become weary in well doing and allow the adversary to hinder you from honoring your commitment to this stewardship capital campaign. "For we walk by faith and not by sight" (II Corinthians 5:7). Together, we must broaden our scope of ministry, eradicate the limitations, embrace our mission, expand our view of the church and commit ourselves to "The Journey of Faith". Do you see what I see?
Meet Me At Galilee,
